Tours developed by business operator Craig Parsey, who lived with his lighthouse keeper family at many of Tasmania’s lighthouse stations during the 1970’s.

The Lighthouse looms large on the cliff edge of Table Cape, which juts out onto the waters of Bass Strait, just 5 kms from Wynyard.

Join our tour and learn all about this wonderful well maintained lighthouse. Climb to the top, walk the balcony and enjoy the incredible views towards Rocky Cape in the West and Low Head in the East.

Gaze across the unforgiving ocean, see the colourful tulip fields and poppy crops surrounding the lighthouse during September and October. Enjoy fantastic seabird and whale viewing opportunities during migration periods. At times the balcony walk can be a very exhilarating experience when the winds are howling and the weather systems roll by.

We encourage you to please book your time slot online before you come to the Table Cape Lighthouse. This will help us conduct your tour experience more safely and avoid any unnecessary queuing.

Direct bookings can also be made at the lighthouse and we often run extra tours throughout the day. Don’t be shy and drop in and say hello.

Our recommendations when planning your trip to the North West and Wynyard region

Table Cape Tulip Farm – Tulips open from late September to late October

Alchymia Distillery – Highly recommended and operate all year

Ransley Veteran Car Collection – Well worth inspecting this amazing collection of vintage cars

The Vault Cafe – A quirky cafe by day and sophisticated bar & restaurant by night

Wynyard Waterfront Accommodation – Inglis River water frontage and beautiful walkways.
